Project implementation: logical and sequential approach
To ensure effective project management and a successful outcome, the Gymnasium №1 construction project will be divided into six key stages, starting with documentation analysis and ending with the commissioning of the complex. Since the foundation and walls have already been completed, the focus will be on final construction, equipping the facility, and preparing it for operation.
Stage 1: Documentation analysis and update
Short Name: Project adjustment.
Description:
- Review existing project documentation to ensure compliance with current building codes, safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
- Update documentation to reflect the completed stages (foundation and walls).
- Prepare additional calculations for engineering and finishing works.
- Obtain approvals from responsible authorities and stakeholders.
Outcome: Approved documentation ready for the continuation of the project.
Stage 2: Completion of construction works
Short Name: Structural finalization and safety.
Description:
- Construction of a modern bomb shelter that ensures the safety of students and staff.
- Installation of roofing, windows, and door units.
- Completion of façade work, including ventilated façades and insulation.
- Execution of capital construction works on previously unfinished elements.
- Rough interior finishing: floor screeds, routing of utilities (water supply, electricity, ventilation).
Outcome: A structurally complete building, including a fully functional bomb shelter, ready for final finishing and engineering works.
Stage 3: Installation of engineering systems and equipment
Short Name: Technical integration.
Description:
- Installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and energy systems.
- Setup of fire safety, video surveillance, and security systems.
- Connection and testing of all utilities and engineering systems.
Outcome: Fully operational engineering systems prepared for use.
Stage 4: Interior finishing and furnishing
Short Name: Final touches.
Description:
- Interior finishing: painting walls, laying floors, and installing ceilings.
- Installation of educational equipment: interactive panels, laboratory setups, furniture, and IT infrastructure.
- Arrangement of common areas, including the cafeteria, gymnasium, and auditorium.
Outcome: Fully finished and equipped building ready for testing.
Stage 5: Testing and preparation for operation
Short Name: Readiness check.
Description:
- Comprehensive testing of engineering systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Addressing any deficiencies and configuring automation systems.
- Training staff to operate the equipment and manage building systems.
Outcome: A building ready for operation with trained personnel.
Stage 6: Commissioning and presentation
Short Name: Gymnasium opening.
Description:
- Final inspection and obtaining permits for operation.
- Presentation of the gymnasium to the public, partners, and media.
- Organizing a grand opening event showcasing the complex’s capabilities.
Outcome: A fully functional educational center ready to welcome students.
